Senor Speedy closed strongly to win the $118,800 Boojum Handicap at Belmont in New York by a neck over Diablo.
Ridden by Jorge Chavez, Senor Speedy covered six furlongs in 1:09 2/5 for his second victory in 13 starts this year. The 4-year-old son of Fast Gold-Quality Endures won the Fall Highweight Handicap at Belmont on Sept. 7.
Senor Speedy returned $6.40, $4 and $2.40. Diablo paid $4.60 and $2.40 and For Really returned $2.20.
