Glendale : School Enrollment Up 5.2%
Enrollment in the Glendale Unified School District grew by 1,648 students in the fall, a 5.2% increase over last year, district officials said Tuesday.
The increase, bringing total enrollment to 27,060, was more than twice the 2% growth district officials had projected in May.
The sharpest rise has been at the elementary level, followed by junior high schools and high schools, said Assistant Supt. Stephen Hodgson. Mann, a year-round elementary school, experienced the largest growth.
