Kyle Petty broke his own track qualifying record to win the pole for Sunday’s AC-Delco 500 at North Carolina Motor Speedway at Rockingham. Petty won the pole with a qualifying speed of 149.461 m.p.h., breaking the record of 149.205 he set in March.
