Provocative Dressing

Share

I agree with Howard Rosenberg’s article, “The Talk of the Electronic Town” (Calendar, Oct. 10), that women are dressing more provocatively, i.e., miniskirts, low-cut blouses. (Maybe to catch a husband? Attract dirty old men? Who knows?)

I’ve seen the same conduct, or worse, from men. Just the other day I saw a man washing his car, topless, with short-shorts! Well, I thought lewd things about him immediately. And, of course, if I’d been capable of raping him, he would have deserved it for revealing so much of his naked body to me. I mean, what did he expect?

You don’t have to be a grubby old woman to notice that topless men are provocative. No wonder even some women who respect men as equals are confused.
