Mercedes Recalls 190-Class Models: Mercedes-Benz of North America is recalling more than 96,500 cars with faulty parking brake levers. The recall covers 1984 to mid-1988 190-class models with hand-operated parking brakes. The defect may make the brake release unintentionally, allowing the car to move if the gear shift is not in park, or in first gear or in reverse in the case of manual transmission models.
