Faulk Released From Hospital
San Diego State freshman running back Marshall Faulk was discharged from the hospital Friday, six days after suffering a collapsed lung and fractured ribs in a game against New Mexico.
Faulk was supposed to be released Tuesday from Mercy Hospital, but his discharge was twice delayed because the collapsed lung wasn’t healing properly.
“They took X-rays late (Thursday) that showed there was no air outside of the lung,” SDSU spokesman John Rosenthal said. “They removed the (breathing) tube and monitored the lung, and there were no complications.”
Faulk will miss the Aztecs’ game tonight at Texas-El Paso, and will be evaluated on a week-to-week basis.
