Teacher’s Lawsuit Sparks Indignation

Share

I suppose that congratulations are in order to teacher John Peloza for submitting what must be called the Ultimate Frivolous Lawsuit.

He should be fired immediately for his inability to put into practice the constitutionally guaranteed separation of church and state, and the Capistrano Unified School District should countersue for court costs and attorney’s fees, attaching his retirement.

Nearly all of us would get the boot if we persisted in bringing our religion to work. The only way to do that successfully is to prove it in action with one’s mouth closed.

A sage once said: “Fortune arises in one’s mind and makes him respect-worthy. Misfortune comes from one’s mouth and ruins him.” Ponder that deeply, Mr. Peloza. As democracy sweeps the world to our great joy, why do you cling all the more tightly to irrational, shallow and ignorant traditions which lack creativity and compassion? We do not want to be taught to walk backward.
