Pathe Communications Names Four to Its Board of Directors
Four directors have been named to the board of Pathe Communications Corp. in addition to two executives being named to key posts.
Cesare de Michelis has been named chairman of the board and chief executive of Pathe, Giancarlo Parretti was named vice chairman, and Liliana Avincola was elected president and chief operating officer. Maria Cecconi was elected to succeed Avincola as corporate secretary.
De Michelis, whose resignation from Pathe was rejected by the board earlier this year, is a professor at the University of Padua, Italy, and president of Pathe-Italia.
Newly elected to Pathe’s board of directors were Aurelio Germes, Avincola, Mauro Parretti and Francesco Guizzetti.
Germes has been a senior vice president of Pathe since 1989; Avincola is corporate secretary at Pathe; Mauro Parretti is son of Pathe principal shareholder Giancarlo Parretti; Francesco Guizzetti is the son of a well-known Italian industrialist.
