VENTURA : Gabor Files Suit Against Accountant

Share

Zsa Zsa Gabor had yet another day in court Wednesday in Ventura.

The entertainer filed a lawsuit last year against Robert L. Lanham, a Westlake accountant. Both sides reached an agreement after a settlement conference in Ventura County Superior Court, officials said. The terms were not disclosed.

Gabor contended in the lawsuit that in December, 1989, she invested $55,000 with a San Diego woman, Suzanne Wonderly, in a complicated business transaction that was to net her a return of at least $200,000.

The Hungarian-born actress claimed in the lawsuit that Lanham served as her financial adviser and accountant on the deal.

Gabor never received the promised $200,000, nor was the $55,000 returned, she contended. She won a default judgment against Wonderly in January.

Lanham declined to comment on the case Wednesday. He said earlier in court documents that Gabor made the decision on her own to invest the money.

Gabor’s attorney, Harrison Bull, could not be reached.
