Promotional Items: But while sales are doing just swell, thank you, at some projects, that doesn’t mean that everything is peachy. Many builders still find it necessary to promote the heck out of their developments to help generate sales.

The 10 builders with developments in the Aliso Viejo planned community have banded together to hold a drawing Nov. 2 in which the lucky winner gets $50,000 off the price of a Aliso Viejo home.

And Foothill Ranch Co., developer of the 2,750-acre Foothill Ranch planned community, is sponsoring a major classic, antique and exotic car show Nov. 9 in hopes of drawing thousands of people to the community, situated in the foothills behind Lake Forest.

While the Aliso Viejo drawing isn’t until next weekend, this is the last weekend for hopefuls to enter the contest. To qualify, one must drive out to the South County community, pick up a special passport at the sales office in any of the 24 new home developments there and then tour at least five model complexes, getting the passport stamped at each one. After being stamped at five projects, the passport becomes the official entry for the drawing.
