Grossman Ought to Put Up, Clam Up
In the story on the lack of Charger defense (Oct. 18), Burt Grossman, the “town clown,” claims that he did not get any credit for a good pass rush the past couple of years, and shouldn’t shoulder the blame for the absence of a pass rush this year.
Give me a break! Could Grossman spell Lee Williams? It is very apparent the Charger defense sorely misses Williams. He made everyone on that line much better, especially Grossman. Anyone who lines up offsides twice in one game, costing his team dearly, and yet has the audacity to run at the mouth like this guy does, should have his lips sewn with the laces of a football.
