Higher Education Costs Questioned
I could hardly believe the headline of your Oct. 21 story about illegals in our colleges (“Illegal Immigrants Facing a Sharp Rise in College Fees”). As I now understand it:
* Thousands and thousands of illegals are attending California colleges.
* Thousands and thousands of legal students cannot get in due to overcrowding.
* My fellow taxpayers and I are paying for this travesty.
* Our school counselors are encouraging it.
Wouldn’t it be sensible, in times of tight budgets and high taxes, to take care of citizens first?
