Saudi Pays $7 Million for 80-Carat Diamond

NEW YORK —
A Saudi businessman paid more than $7 million for an 80-carat diamond and promptly named it the “Jedda Bride.” Ahmed H. Fitaihi bid $7,150,000 for the gem at Sotheby’s last week, the auction house said.
