Charter Pacific Bank Net Income Up 53%

Charter Pacific Bank in Agoura Hills reported its net income jumped 53% in the third quarter that ended Sept. 30 to $598,000 from $391,000 a year earlier. In the nine months that ended Sept. 30, the three-branch bank earned $1.42 million, a 23% gain from $1.15 million in the same period in 1990.
The bank also said it has increased its capital by $2 million since Sept. 30, 1990, providing a bigger cushion against the slow economy.
