Wolf Blitzer to the Rescue: Organizers of the annual Orange County Economic Conference being held here today said scheduled luncheon speaker Bernard Shaw, Cable News Network’s award-winning anchor, has withdrawn because of a conflicting assignment.
Substituting for Shaw will be fellow CNN broadcast personality Wolf Blitzer, the cable news channel’s military correspondent.
In addition, organizers said Monday, Mexico’s chief negotiator in the free trade agreement talks with the United States, Hermann von Bertrab, has joined the panel on international trade, replacing Fluor Corp. President Vince Kontny.
The conference, sponsored by the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, is at the Anaheim Hilton and Towers hotel.
