The San Diego Chargers cut tight end Arthur Cox, who committed a crucial penalty two weeks ago in a loss to Cleveland and received a poor review of his play in a loss at Seattle on Sunday.

Cox had “a very bad game” and missed several crucial blocks in a 20-9 loss to the Seahawks, General Manager Bobby Beathard said.

“He just hasn’t played well,” Beathard said. “He hasn’t practiced well, he hasn’t played well and he’s been prone to mistakes.”
