Video Rental Chart : ‘Doors’ Steps In to the Top Spot

Though many retailers still contend “Godfather III” is the hottest title in the home-video market, the Billboard magazine chart says otherwise, giving the nod to “The Doors,” the biography of ‘60s rocker Jim Morrison. Madonna’s “Truth or Dare” (No. 4) is the most popular documentary in the rental market this year. “Switch,” the romantic comedy/fantasy starring Ellen Barkin and Jimmy Smits, debuted at No. 11 and has a shot at cracking the Top Five.
