From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Rescue teams found the last of 14 people stranded in Stanislaus National Forest by the weekend snowstorm, marking the end of three days of searching in the rugged wilderness. Rescue teams on snowmobiles made contact with the two hunters who were the last people missing in the storm. The two men had planned to return to their San Francisco Bay Area homes on Sunday from a two-day trip in the northern Tuolumne region off Highway 108. They endured freezing temperatures and brisk winds that sank the wind-chill factor to near zero one night.
