The U.S. attorney’s office filed a complaint in an attempt to confiscate 80 acres belonging to a Valley Center man charged with narcotics violations.

George Olmos allegedly tried to trade the property to undercover narcotics agents for 400 pounds of marijuana and $400,000, authorities said.

Olmos had asked narcotics agents to deliver the drugs and money to him at the property, in the 26000 block of Oak Trail Road in Valley Center, Asst. U.S. Atty. Leah A. Russell said in a press release Thursday.

The property, which is in a rural area with houses on it, is subject to forfeiture under federal law because it was offered in exchange for narcotics and was used to facilitate the transaction, the press release said.
