An arson-caused fire damaged three vacant houses in Sun Valley that were scheduled for demolition, authorities said Sunday.
The fire was set Saturday night in at least 13 different places around the modest, single-family houses, which stand in a row near the northeast corner of Bradley Avenue and Tuxford Street, Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman Pat Marek said.
The department received a call about the fire at 9:40 p.m., and 25 firefighters extinguished it within 19 minutes, Marek said. The houses, located in an industrial area, did not burn down, Marek said. No one was injured in the blaze. The fire was under investigation Sunday.
