Rockwell to Close Axle Facility

Rockwell International Corp. said it will close an axle plant employing 530 people and move those operations to other factories.

Rockwell said it must reduce production capacity for front axles to become more efficient. The plant in New Castle makes axles for trucks, coaches and military vehicles.
