Students hoping to attend Cal State Fullerton or Cal State Long Beach in the fall of 1992 should apply this month to improve their chances, university officials recently announced.

“This year, more than ever before, we urge students to apply during November--the opening month of the fall admissions cycle,” Cal State Fullerton President Milton A. Gordon said.

Further budget restrictions for the California State University in the coming academic year may force the Fullerton campus to stop accepting applications as early as Dec. 1 in many, if not all, majors, he said.

At Cal State Long Beach, the application period will be closed after Nov. 30 for the following majors: business administration, graphic design, basic nursing, physical therapy, and radio, television and film.

After the Nov. 30 deadline, applicants will be considered as space permits in various majors.

“So, for example, if there is space in our journalism program, we would continue to accept applications,” said Toni Beron, university spokeswoman. “The bottom line is (a student’s) best bet is to apply before Nov. 30.”

Applications for the fall of 1992 also are being accepted through Nov. 30 at University of California campuses.
