Richardson, No. 12 Texas A&M; Have No Trouble With TCU

Bucky Richardson passed for a career-high 321 yards and accounted for four touchdowns Thursday night as 12th-ranked Texas A&M; rolled to a 44-7 Southwest Conference victory over Texas Christian.

Texas A&M; (7-1 overall, 5-0 SWC), which defeated TCU for the 19th consecutive time, remained the league’s only unbeaten team as scouts from the Cotton, Peach, Independence and Copper bowls looked on.

TCU, which lost two quarterbacks to injury, dropped to 6-3 and 3-3.

Richardson, a fifth-year senior from Baton Rouge, La., ran for two touchdowns and passed for two against the injury-plagued Horned Frogs. He completed 16 of 25 passes.

Texas A&M; running back Greg Hill rushed for 115 yards to become the first SWC freshman to reach 1,000 yards. Hill, who has 1,005, broke the SWC freshman rushing record of 928 yards set by Earl Campbell of Texas in 1974.
