Bail of $3 million was set Friday for a La Mesa woman charged in the slaying of her boyfriend, whose dismembered body was found in North County.
Cindy Ann Oakley, 29, pleaded not guilty to killing Charles Beabout, 30, who was believed shot to death on Nov. 1 in the couple’s home in the 6100 block of Stanley Drive.
His mutilated body was found in a sleeping bag on the side of southbound Interstate 15 near Gopher Canyon Road near Bonsall on Nov. 3.
San Diego Municipal Judge Judith Hayes scheduled a Dec. 19 preliminary hearing.
