OAK PARK : Panel to Look Into Financing for Study
The Oak Park Municipal Advisory Council has formed a committee to investigate ways to pay $30,000 for a study on cityhood.
The study would evaluate whether the community of 13,000 people could financially support itself as a city.
The committee will explore whether to ask the Ventura County Board of Supervisors to pay for the study or whether the costs should be paid by Oak Park residents.
The committee consists of City Council members Ron Stark and Kent Behringer, school board trustees Wayne Blassman and Robert Kahn and resident Joyce D. Shimkus.
