Upon My Soul Wins at Aqueduct

NEW YORK —
Upon My Soul prompted the pace into the stretch, then took the lead and went on to a 2 3/4-length victory Saturday in the 1 1/8-mile $126,600 Discovery Handicap for 3 year-olds at Aqueduct.
Excellent Tipper finished second, a neck ahead of Honest Ensign, in the 11-horse field.
Earlier in the afternoon, jockey Jean Cruguet was unseated from Wellfleet Oyster during the sixth race. Cruguet was taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital with a possible concussion.
