Magic’s Slam-Jam: Earvin (Magic) Johnson’s disclosure that he has the virus that causes AIDS is not derailing plans for “Magic Johnson’s All-Star Slam ‘N Jam,” a syndicated program scheduled to debut March 23. “The response so far from the station community and the advertising community has been nothing short of phenomenal and very positive,” Ron Glazer, president of Western International Syndication, said Monday. “The stations are behind it.” All 14 episodes of the series, which features entertainment celebrities playing three-on-three basketball, were taped last summer in Hawaii. KCBS Channel 2 is carrying the series.
