Outdated School System Needs Overhaul
I enjoyed reading Jackie Goldberg’s commentary about her return to teaching after serving on the school board.
Her article again points up how the Los Angeles school system is being shortchanged. Among other things, I cannot understand teachers being expected to handle between 35 to 45 students per class.
I thank Goldberg for her interest in her students and dedication to teaching.
I went through the Los Angeles school system over 50 years ago and, given the present conditions, consider myself extremely lucky to have received my education in those long-ago days.
