Recession and Bush

Share

It was neither reassuring nor informative to hear President Bush talk about the economy recently. He said that it was a great time to buy a house and a really good time to purchase an automobile. Gee, that was eye-popping news. Especially to me, an unemployed diabetic, who will not find it easy to obtain one small vial of insulin this month.

Things would be a lot better if the President and his Administration stopped sugarcoating the state of the economy and faced the facts. Bush could start by dispelling the fantasy that a huge capital gains tax cut will result in a plethora of jobs.
