EAST ROUNDUP : Johnson Hands Syracuse 38-16 Comeback Victory

With No. 17 Syracuse struggling, Antonio Johnson took things into his own hands.

Johnson caught a pass that went 55 yards for a touchdown and then scooped up a teammate’s fumble and took it 63 yards for another score as the Orangemen rallied from a 10-point deficit to beat Boston College, 38-16, Saturday at Syracuse.

Syracuse (8-2), which scored 24 consecutive points after falling behind, 10-0, in the first quarter, is expected to receive a bid to the Hall of Fame Bowl at Tampa, Fla., on New Year’s Day.

Dartmouth 45, Brown 13--Al Rosier rushed for a school-record 229 yards and four touchdowns and the Big Green (6-2-1, 5-0-1) trounced the Bruins (0-9, 0-6) at Hanover, N.H., to set up a showdown against Princeton for the Ivy League title.

Princeton 22, Yale 16--Keith Elias ran for 142 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Tigers (8-1, 5-1) past the Elis (5-4, 3-3) in an Ivy League game at Princeton, N.J.

Harvard 22, Penn 18--Quarterback Mike Giardi ran nine yards for a touchdown with 23 seconds left to lift the Crimson (4-4-1, 4-1-1) to an Ivy League victory over the Quakers (1-8, 1-5) at Cambridge, Mass.

Army 19, Akron 0--Arlen Smith rushed for 116 yards and one touchdown as the Cadets (4-6) defeated the Zips (4-6) at West Point, N.Y.

Rutgers 41, Temple 0--Tom Tarver threw for a career-high 311 yards and three touchdowns as the Scarlet Knights (6-5) routed the Owls (2-8) at Piscataway, N.J.
