SEAL BEACH : Masked Men With Shotguns Rob Bank
Two men wearing ski masks and armed with sawed-off shotguns stole an undetermined amount of money Monday morning in the holdup of a Wells Fargo Bank branch on Seal Beach Boulevard, authorities reported.
Police said the robbers entered the financial institution shortly after it opened at 9 a.m., demanded the money and fled in an early model Datsun Z sports car. No injuries were reported.
One robber was described as a white male between 49 and 52 years old, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 170 pounds, with brown hair. The other is a male Latino about 6 feet tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He has brown collar-length hair.
According to witnesses, both gunmen were wearing blue pants, blue jackets and dark blue ski masks.
The Datsun is gold or light brown. Police said it was last seen near Old Ranch Road and the Garden Grove Freeway. Anyone with information about the robbery should call Seal Beach police at (213) 431-2541.
