Barry Axelrod, who represents free-agent first baseman Wally Joyner of the Angels, said that the Dodgers had “indicated preliminary interest” in his client, but Dodger officials downplayed the possibility that they would sign the Angel first baseman. The Angels said they will talk to Bobby Bonilla’s agent, Dennis Gilbert, Thursday or Friday.
