San Diego police arrested one woman and three men in connection with a series of taxicab robberies this month, authorities said Tuesday.

The four are suspected in eight cab holdups, the thefts of six taxis, five street robberies and a commercial robbery. The crimes took place between Nov. 1 and Nov. 15, Lt. Larry Kenney said.

On Friday, Joy Hodge, 26, of San Diego was arrested on suspicion of nine counts of robbery, including the robbery of a Southeast San Diego auto body repair shop. She was also held on six counts of auto theft and one of credit card fraud, Kenney said.

Harold Crawford, 31, of San Diego was arrested on suspicion of two counts of robbery in the taxicab crimes. He is also being held in connection with five unrelated street robberies and one count of check fraud, Kenney said.

Andre Gross, 25, of San Diego was arrested Saturday on suspicion of seven cab robberies, six car thefts and one count of credit card fraud, said Kenney.

Alvin Douglas, 60, of San Diego was arrested Sunday in connection with one robbery, Kenney said.
