Sara Boynoff Coonradt, 77, one of the very few women newspaper reporters working in Los Angeles in the 1930s. She joined the staff of the old Daily News in 1937 and when it closed in 1955 went to radio station KNX and then to the old Los Angeles Examiner. She stayed on the staff of the combined Herald Examiner until it too went under in 1989. After that she worked as a writer and editor for TV stations KTLA and KABC. In Pasadena on Tuesday of undetermined causes.
