Wetlands Tours--Guided public tours of the Bolsa Chica wetlands will be held Saturday morning. The tours, sponsored by Amigos de Bolsa Chica, will depart every 20 minutes from the wetlands ecological reserve beginning at 9 a.m. The last tour will leave at 10:30 a.m.

Wintering terns, egrets, herons, ducks, geese, grebes and other shore birds are at the wetlands this time of year.

Those who would like to take the tour are asked to meet at the ecological reserve, on Pacific Coast Highway, about half a mile south of Warner Avenue, across from Bolsa Chica State Beach.

Nursery Nature Walk--Upper Newport Bay on Monday will be the site of a slow-paced walk geared for parents with children under 5. Trained docents will lead the walk, which begins at 10 a.m.
