A Guide to the Best of Southern California : FOR KIDS : Mail Call
Yes, Southern California, there really is a Santa Claus. And jolly ol’ St. Nick will write to area children to prove it. His one-page letter, postmarked North Pole, Alaska, and signed in silver ink, arrives on white, red or green stationery and features a brief personalized message--praise for good grades or behavior, for example--suggested by the parent, relative or friend.
The typewritten letters also include greetings from Rudolph and the gang and a reminder to leave cookies and milk out for Santa.
White paper letters cost $2.80, including return postage; red or green letters are $3. Orders must be received by Friday to ensure delivery by Christmas Eve.
Place orders with Carol Currie, Santa’s assistant and owner of Lakewood-based CMC Communications: (310) 423-0870.
