NBC Promotes Two: NBC News on Monday created a new position and filled the executive producer spot for the weekday “Today” show. Karen Curry, currently the network’s London bureau chief, was tapped for the new post of executive producer of morning news programming. She will oversee “Today,” “Sunday Today,” “Sunrise,” “A Closer Look” and all other New York-based morning news and information programs. Jeff Zucker, supervising producer for “Today,” moves up to executive producer. He succeeds Tom Capra, who is now executive producer of TV movies and miniseries in NBC’s entertainment division.
