A man whom witnesses described as pale, sickly and barely able to read his demand note robbed a San Diego bank of $750 Monday, authorities said.

The man walked into the Wells Fargo bank on Midway Drive at 10:50 a.m. with a demand note and held it up to the teller, San Diego police spokesman Bill Robinson said.

The teller could not read the handwriting, so the man, in a weak voice, told her to give him $10 and $20 bills, Robinson said. No weapon was seen, and the man left the bank on foot, Robinson said.

The FBI has not linked the man to any other robberies.

The man was described as white, in his 30s, about 6 feet tall, with short brown hair. He was wearing a brown sleeveless sweat shirt, jeans and a brown hat, police said.
