Haitian Refugees
The exodus of thousands of Haitians across dangerous seas to reach the southern tip of Florida is unnecessary. These so-called refugees could simply walk cross the border into the neighboring Dominican Republic or take a short trip by boat to nearby Cuba. Their goal to come to America is obvious. Once here, they quickly apply for welfare and live out their lives at the expense of U.S. taxpayers.
