THOUSAND OAKS : Health Officials Close Restaurant

Share

A Thai restaurant in Thousand Oaks has been shut down indefinitely by county health authorities for not maintaining sanitary operations.

Charlie’s Thai House at 388 N. Moorpark Road was closed Nov. 14 for 23 code violations, mainly structural and equipment deficiencies. The restaurant, housed in a parking-lot kiosk at a strip mall, outgrew its building, began storing food and supplies outdoors and on the floor, and lacked sufficient sink space, said Elizabeth Huff, county restaurant inspections supervisor.

A Pioneer Chicken Takeout at 2450 Saviers Road in Oxnard was also closed for three days last month because of cockroach infestation, Huff said. An inspection was conducted in response to a patron’s complaint, she said.
