Students Share Visions of Peace

To help celebrate the holiday season at the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace, north Orange County students are participating in “The Many Colors of Peace” by presenting their visions of a better world in nearly 50 paintings and drawings.

“It was great. It exposes young artists,” George Ward, a senior at El Dorado High School in Placentia, said of the exhibition. “Most people today relate peace with God, so my art relates how God protects all of us.”

“The recognition was nice, having the show here at the library,” said Ward, 18. “It was a good way to spread the message of peace.”

The special exhibition in cooperation with the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District, runs through Jan. 5. The museum, which is open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (except Christmas and New Year’s Day), is at 18001 Yorba Linda Blvd.
