Cross Controversy

Share

Bravo to Howard Kreisner and Philip Paulson for having the courage to take on the government. They were right. The crosses atop Mt. Soledad and Mt. Helix are in violation of the United States and California constitutions. It is nice to see that the basic rights of “the little guy” are still intact. I was beginning to wonder if this was still a land of equals.

Hopefully, soon the crosses will come down, and I can drive past Mt. Soledad without feeling a knot in my stomach. The giant concrete cross has always been a reminder to me that, as an atheist, I am not a welcome resident of the city of San Diego.
