Hector Orezzoli; Produced, Directed Broadway Revues

Hector Orezzoli, 38, who produced and directed “Tango Argentino” and “Black and Blue” on Broadway and on tour. Orezzoli, who was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and partner Claudio Segovia began creating revues using South American musical artists. “Tango Argentino,” one of their most famous shows, opened in Paris in 1983 and hit Broadway in 1985. It toured North America, Japan and Europe before opening in London in May. “Black and Blue,” a revue of American jazz, blues and tap-dancing, opened in Paris in 1985. It opened on Broadway in 1989 and ran two years. Another of the partners’ shows, “Flamenco Puro,” played in Paris in 1984 and Broadway in 1986. They were preparing “Noche Tropical,” exploring Cuban music and dance, to open in Japan in January. On Thursday of a heart attack in New York City.
