Connolly, 49, has served on the seven-member board since 1978. He previously served as president in 1982 and as vice president in 1984.

“I’m thrilled,” Connolly said shortly after being elected. “I’m looking forward to serving as president of the board during the silver anniversary of the district and of Saddleback College.”
