Fast-Food Chain’s Stock Posts Big Gain: The price of stock in Carl Karcher Enterprises Inc. leaped 19% Friday to $8.625 a share, but no explanation for the jump was available. The stock price for the Anaheim-based fast-food chain had been “dribbling down” in the last few weeks, and investors may have finally realized that a good buying opportunity existed, said StevenDeLuca, an analyst with Cruttenden & Co. Inc. in Newport Beach. The price jumped $1.375 a share over Thursday’s close. Corporate headquarters was closed Friday, and no one could be reached for comment.
