La Verne Library Fund Tops Halfway Mark

Share

The James Irvine Foundation has awarded a $450,000 matching grant to the University of La Verne for expansion and renovation of the college’s Wilson Library/Academic Center.

The grant brings the fund-raising campaign for the project to $3,658,365, more than half of its $7-million goal.

The reconstruction is scheduled for completion in the fall of 1993.

It will double the center’s space, adding an art gallery, board of trustees conference room, additional classroom space and faculty research areas. It will also modernize the library.
