A Poetic Reaction to Perfection Quest
- Share via
The Column One on Irvine by Eric Bailey (“Irvine: City That Works--for Some,” Dec. 1) was an excellent depiction of man’s search for perfection. The following was written after moving to such a man-made paradise:
Planned communities everywhere
cloned in multiplicity;
each a perfect neighbor
with no room for eccentricity.
Expensive keeping up to do
maintaining their duplicity;
Utopia for those who dwell
in sweet pristine plasticity.
