The Buffalo Bills get to play at home, and the Indianapolis Colts get to pick first in the draft.

Kenneth Davis, playing for the injured Thurman Thomas, rushed for 90 yards and one touchdown and caught one of three touchdown passes from Jim Kelly on Sunday night as the Bills beat the Colts 35-7 and clinched the home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

Thomas, who went in as the NFL’s leading rusher this season, sprained his left ankle on his sixth carry of the game’s first series.

“I think more than anything, I hated to see him go down,” Davis said of Thomas, who injured an ankle early in the first quarter. “But I was just glad I was able to step in and contribute. I was ready mentally and physically.”

Buffalo (13-2), scoring on its first three possessions with almost no resistance, also set club season records for points, passing yardage and total offense.

The only consolation for Indianapolis (1-14), which went winless at home and matched a franchise record for the losses in one season, was the guarantee of the No. 1 pick in the draft.

Indianapolis also owns Tampa Bay’s first-round pick through a trade last year. A victory over the Buccaneers in the season finale at Tampa next week would give the Colts the top two selections in the draft.

Kelly completed nine of 11 passes for 119 yards.

The Bills’ 3,747 passing yards this season broke the team record of 3,589 set in 1989. The Bills’ have 6,168 yards in total offense, breaking the record of 5,853 set in 1989. Buffalo also set a season scoring record of 444 points, breaking the record of 428 last year.
