Higher-Education Woes
As the current semester comes to a close at Cal State Fullerton, I would like to take a minute to thank Gov. Pete Wilson for all the support he has given to students.
Fewer classes were offered this semester. Now, scheduling a full load seems near impossible. A 16-unit maximum has been imposed on all students. CSUF is no longer a four-year school, since it now takes a minimum of 4 1/2 years to graduate.
Part of the mainframe computer system has been dismantled to reduce costs. As a result, many students are denied valuable computer simulation experience.
All this and a 16.4% increase in tuition. Again, Pete, thanks.
