Two Named to County Fair Board
Gov. Pete Wilson has appointed two local businessmen to the Orange County Fair Board.
John C. Crean, 66, of Santa Ana Heights replaced Charlotte Cleary, who has served two terms. Donald Willet, 46, of Newport Beach was reappointed to his four-year post.
Crean is chief executive officer for Fleetwood Enterprises, a Fortune 500 company based in Riverside with 11,000 employees and annual sales of $1.4 billion. The company is the largest manufacturer of recreational vehicles in the nation and one of the largest producers of factory-built homes.
Crean has also been a board member for KOCE Channel 50 for the past three years and a member of the Chapman University board for five years.
Willet, 46, is a private consultant for governmental affairs.
Both men will oversee the operations of the fairgrounds, which include an amphitheater, swap meet, equestrian center and farm.
